Papa Kona is proud of our Big Island home, yet grateful that our neighboring Hawaiian islands can also produce wonderful coffee. Maui offers the right mix of sunshine, regular rainfall, rich volcanic soil, and good drainage that coffee trees need to thrive. Our nearest island neighbor, Maui, grows exceptional and unique coffee beans, including Maui Mokka that originated in Yemen. We purchase the smaller Maui Mokka green coffee beans and roast them to a golden, medium brown. This deep and rich finished coffee perfectly represents Maui-style coffees.

All Papa Kona Coffee varieties are roasted in small batches at Papa Kona Restaurant & Bar over looking the breaking ocean waves of Kailua Bay.

Cupping Notes: Lemongrass, tobacco, earthy, dark chocolate, pine. Smokey, full body, citric acidity.
